Factory Records: FAC 251 New Factory building

NOTES: Catalogue number applies to the new Factory headquarters and a very rare CD/invitation (see FACD 251) to the Headquarters grand opening. (The FAC 251 number is also seen on postcards and staff passes, among others.)

For important releases (including 'Bummed' and 'Technique') the entire exterior was plastered with 40"x60" posters for the release. (Prior to building remodeling.) The building was acquired in October 1988, officially opened on 29 September 1990 and closed November 1992.

"FAC 251" was applied to a pseudo foundation/cornerstone block at the base of the building.

After subsequently re-opening as the Paradise Factory nightclub later in the nineties, it closed again, only to reopen as FAC 251 The Factory on 24 January 2008.
