England's Dreaming: Sex Pistols and Punk Rock by Jon Savage

The seminal work on punk rock by Jon Savage, long-time associate of Factory people. England's Dreaming: Sex Pistols and Punk Rock traces popular music from the early days of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, the shop 'Sex' and the dawn of the Sex Pistols. It includes several references to Joy Division. The original Faber & Faber issue seems to have been replaced by a new, updated version with a different cover (see below left); there is also yet another version with another different cover (see below right)
